Increasing concern over pest resistance by industry has prompted industry-based formation of action committees that work to conserve pesticide efficacy and to limit crop losses due to development of pesticide resistance. Pesticide action committees have been formed for:
- Fungicides: Fungicide Resistance Action Committee
- Herbicides: Herbicide Resistance Action Committee
- Insecticides: Insecticide Resistance Action Committee
- Rodenticide: Rodenticide Resistance Action Committee
These action committees are technical working groups of CropLife International. Its website outlines the mission of these action committees to: “facilitate communication and education on herbicide, insecticide, fungicide and rodenticide resistance. They promote the development of resistance management strategies in crop protection to maintain efficacy and support sustainable agriculture and improved public health.”
